Maddy A.
While Crown Point is her hometown, Maddy A. has been living in Indianapolis pursuing her B.A. in Global Leadership at U Indy. Maddy has lots of experience with animals. Before moving to Indianapolis, she worked 4 years for at a vet clinic in Crown Point. Her passion is helping people and making the world a better place to live. Traveling to Africa to improve the quality of life there has been one of the ways that she is achieving this goal. Maddy's love of people and organization skills has been a wonderful asset to our office staff.
Lauren D.
After graduating from Purdue University in August 2009 with a major in Animal Agribusiness, Lauren D. was hired as the first full-time Manager at our facility. Lauren began working here in June 2008 and continuously demonstrates her quality animal handling skills and knowledge as well as her intelligence and reliability to make good business decisions. Since she returned from an Australian study abroad program in July '09, she has been learning all aspects of managing the kennels as well as running a small business. In her "spare" time, she is pursuing her MBA at IUPUI's Kelley School of Business.
Ashley B.
Originally from Fort Wayne where she worked in a boarding kennel, Ashley B. began working with us in September, 2009. She is a student at Herron School of Art majoring in photography and has contributed several of the photos on this website. Ashley spends most of her time feeding, watering, medicating and playing with your pets in the back rooms, but you will often see her in the lobby getting our guests settled in for their stays. She is a very hard worker who never seems frazzled and is always looking for that next task to be done.
Dawn H.
Known to the staff as our very own "dog whisperer", Dawn H. definitely has a gift for handling even the most sensitive of our guests. She is regularly seen petting, bathing and cuddling the guests who would rather not be handled by any of our other staff members. Her calm personality is appreciated by the staff and human clients as well as our four-legged friends. After graduating from the Grooming School of Indiana, Dawn spends a majority of her time bathing and grooming our in-house guests and those visiting for a bath or hair cut. She is working to expand her grooming business and would love for you to try out her wonderful grooming skills.
Rachel S.
Originally from LaPorte, Rachel S. is one of our newest employees. Rachel's wide-ranging experience with animals includes studying at the Vet Tech Institute of the International Business College as well as being a "parent" to two dogs and a cat. In January 2012, Rachel is starting classes at IUPUI to pursue another passion in her life, art history. One of Rachel's favorite activities at the kennels is playing with your pets so you will usually find her in one of our play yard areas interacting with the dogs during let-outs.
Rebecca W.
Rebecca W. joined the kennels staff in July 2010. Rebecca is a lifelong Indianapolis native graduating from Howe High School. Rebecca's enthusiasm for animals prompted her to continue her education at the Vet Tech Institute of the International Business College. Currently she is working at both the kennels as well as a local veterinary hospital. Rebecca is a hardworking, compassionate and articulate employee who utilizes these qualities when feeding, medicating and playing with our boarding guests.
